Well, I’m not yet ready to launch this site. I decided instead to take a Winter Wonderland Vacation in the freezing wilderness of Southern New Hampshire.
Notice how I throw in the “southern” for some much needed warmth.
This morning was a sight to behold. First flurries. Cute fluffy little things falling from the blanket grey sky.
Just a few moments worth – enough for me to envision marsh-mellows swimming in thick, hot chocolate. The kind I’d sip for hours at a street-side French Cafe – sans marsh-mellows, of course!
Next came deer. Five of them. Is that called a herd? Or some other delightful classification term, I can’t quite remember.
And am suddenly realizing – do I even care? Ah no…
So, five. Yes, five. Three or four were wee-little Bambi’s. Adorable and munching their way through snow and woods to grandmother’s house… or some such thing.
I love the little flick of white tales. It reminds me of the “drop and bend” that simply made Legally Blond an instant classic. You know the one – when Reece teaches the nail-girl – love her – how to drop and bend for the UPS guy.
Oh so adorable – don’t think I haven’t tried it.
And speaking of UPS, lets give a quick shout out to the amazing men and women still out there braving the wilds, the storms, the dogs, the stressed drivers to deliver our packages on time.
Ah, we thank you, kind people in brown. But serious, why brown?
Brown is more for feathers, the find found on turkeys – real live ones. Gorgeous feathers…I saw them, a flock, swarm – I have it – a RAFTER of wild turkeys! Right outside the window. Insane!
Now why that word, I’ll never know. I’m from the south were rafters are usually Cuban’s working their way across the sea to get to the Land of the Free.
Speaking of Land of the Free, what ever happened with that Health Care Reform Vote that was to take place at 7am this morning? Hmm, so early and on Christmas eve day, kinda makes me wonder.
As you can see, I’m a streamer of consciousness.
Some people love Twitter, in it’s 140 characters or less of mindless or vital thought blogging – however, I tend to be more long-winded.
I tweet, I twitter, I can be found in Twitterdom, however, when I feel the need to really think outloud, this is the place I will come.
I am a writer. Author to many, wordsmith to some, adjective whore to none.
I love to write and you will possible enjoy reading my musings. If not, no sweat – although sweating in these arctic temps right now is impossible. Good thing, I’m layered like a high-end wedding cake.
And soon enough I will shed these layers, and any additional added to my hips and thighs – given the sweets – and head south. That is when I will officially launch this not-here-now site.
Ah, palm tree. My lovely little palms. My hot orb of sun. Oh, how I miss thee, Florida.
Soon. But first I am off. Off to not launch this site, but instead hang with the fam-dam-ily.
‘Tis the season and I am in my hometown, enjoying a cup of hot tea, the white snow littering the ground and streams of wildlife looking at me through the glass like I’m insane.
And quite possibly, I am.
